A global family rooted in Kirutai values — united in care, support, and shared progress
In early 2025, a small group of like-minded sons and daughters of Kirutai sat together under the familiar shade of our village trees. They shared stories, tears, and dreams reflecting on the deep-rooted welfare spirit that has always existed in our village: neighbors helping neighbors, families lifting each other during funerals, illnesses, sudden losses, or unexpected hardships. But they also saw the pain felt far beyond Kirutai's borders. Many of our brothers and sisters who moved to Nairobi, Mombasa, or abroad to the United States, United Kingdom, Middle East, or elsewhere building better lives for their families, suddenly found themselves isolated in moments of crisis. A hospital bill arrives, a loved one passes on, a job is lost, or an emergency strike and there is no immediate hand to hold, no familiar voice saying tuko pamoja (we are together). The traditional village safety net felt distant, stretched thin across oceans and cities. That heartfelt conversation sparked a powerful idea: Why not bring the same love, unity, and mutual support that has sustained Kirutai for generations to every corner of the world where a Kirutai child lives? From that simple gathering grew Kirutai Welfare Association a modern, inclusive, and truly global extension of our village heart. Today, KWA stands as a warm, reliable family for anyone who proudly traces their roots to Kirutai no matter where life has taken you. Whether you're in the village facing daily needs, in Nairobi navigating city pressures, or thousands of miles away in the diaspora missing home during tough times you are not alone anymore .
To bring our Kirutai people together near and far so that no one faces hardship alone, every member gains access to genuine job connections and career support through our growing network, and every family enjoys greater security, warmth, mutual care, and hope for a brighter tomorrow.
